Hosta Hospital

Early this Spring I dug up a number of tiny Hostas from my old house, and replanted them in the ground along the South fence.  But, they were not doing well in the ground.  The slugs/snails were munching on them furiously and I was worried they would not make it, so I moved them out of the ground into this long planter.  After 1 week, they each were sprouting new leaves.
Once they are better established I'll put them back in the ground and surround them with coffee grounds and egg shells (maybe even some pennies) and let them take off.  I really don't know if the coffee and eggshells help but I want to try that before chemicals.  I'm open to any other suggestions.

BABY HOSTAS
Hosta Hospital

There are 9 different baby hosts in here, one of them being Empress Wu which came to me by mail from Michigan Bulb Co.  It was a tiny root ball with 2 itty bitty leaves.  I've realized I don't like ordering from them because their stock is too young and takes way too long to establish.
