My pot arrangement is not as cute as the one in the Blog, but my husband said my fence slats were too thin to support the pots, which meant I could only use the cross beams, so this was the alternative placement. As long as I don't look at the other photo I'm just fine with this.
Most of them are 6 inch pots that I found at Menard's for 98 cents. I had to make 2 trips so a few are 6.3 inches. My husband, who likes straight lines, thought this flaw should be remedied. Menard's is across town, so my reasoning for keeping it this way was: I feel it demonstrates my "It's never gonna be perfect so why even try - just be happy that it even got finished" personality. I I spray painted the Terracotta pots with the help of my mom and grandmother then planted:
White Alyssum,
Sweet Potato Vine "Marguerite,"
and Impatiens "Punch."
I turned a few friends onto this project as well - can't wait to see how theirs turns out!!
Here is where I ordered the hangers for the pots (cuz they were no where to be found in my city!!):
Shelle, your blog is awesome! I absolutely love your yard and all of the wonderful plants you have. Amazing.
