This is my Chocolate Chip Ajuga last year (end of May 2010). I have had it planted in the Deck Bed in 3 clumps for 2 years and it never flowered or even spread anywhere. It's supposed to be an fast growing, aggressive ground cover. And yes, I only bought it because it had the word "chocolate" in the name!!

This is that SAME plant April 2011. Wow!! What happened over the winter? I was so close to ripping this Bugleweed-Boy out because it brought me no joy. Lucky for this guy, I fell in love with it AND it's early Spring flowers. I finally have a garden bed border!! Only took 3 years.... |

To the left is my experimental Dianthus, behind the Ajuga plant are Astilbe's, behind them is Ragwort "Rocket", then Endless Summer Hydrangea and on the right are Heucheras.
